The country lane passing the Johnson's garden is fronted with a thick bed of daylilies and ornamental grasses. In the spring people drive by for the pleasure of thousands of blooming daffodils.
A stream passes through the forest surrounding the yard. The sunny entry garden welcomes visitors but all the rest of the garden hides in deep shade filled with hostas and hydrangeas among other shade-loving denizens. Unusual sculptures, gates and treasure highlight this zone 4 garden.
